Valerie Morinville has been working with children and families since 2001. She has extensive experience working with families in the family court system. Valerie is dedicated to helping parents support their children through family conflict. She prides herself on keeping the children’s interests forefront while considering the parents’ strengths.
Valerie has a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work. Valerie is a founding member of Family Consultants Ottawa (2012), an Accredited Family Mediator (OAFM) (2016) and has worked as a neutral professional on many negotiating teams with families for Collaborative Practice Ottawa (2009).
Valerie has worked in a variety of settings with families and has been in private practice since 2006. She has extensive knowledge of the military family experience, having worked with military families in a variety of settings for over 25 years. Valerie was a Master Trainer and facilitated mental health workshops for the Department of National Defence and the Mental Health Commission of Canada from 2009-2019.
Valerie is fluent and provides services in both English and French.
